When I lay me down to sleep...
was a prayer I hoped he'd keep.
Now I lay me down, I weep
so often, I cannot sleep.

In my dreams you pass me by
so often, I sometimes cry.
You look the same but it's
a game, I wonder if you ever
call my name.

When I lay me down to sleep
it's a prayer I hope you keep.
Don't pass me by, or soon I'll
cry. I wonder if you called my
name, I thought I heard, is it
a game?

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray tonight I'll not weep.
As you pass me by, I'll only
sigh for it's the same, it's
just a game.

very nice. I like the repetitiveness but the way you twisted it each time. Lastly, and with much fanfare as is humanly possible over the Internet........
