She cries upon the alter
of what she thinks is life.
She cries for what she's after
and sees the fading light.
Through her tears she sees him
walking in a cloud of dust.
From far off distant places
he has come to take her heart.

And yet the die are thrown
for all the world to see.
Of family and her children
and the smiles that this brings.
Through her tears she wonders
when it will finally be her time.
When will someone love her
like the one who has her heart.

So she stands upon her silence
as the river of time slows.
Just to listen to her heart beat
and how her love should flow.
As she sets it free of her pain
she looks into the wind.
Of a man who follows his heart
so that they both begin again.

Michael....

'through her tears she wonders when it
    will finally be her time...'

        This is a touching poem,
           beautifully written
            and bittersweet!
               Nice Job!!!

I have but one goal in
life.........
To make you smile!
