Have you ever known that something was impossible? And you knew it from the bottom of your heart? And you also knew that something was unstoppable.. No matter how you tried your best to just not start? But another part of you was filled with aching... And a need so deep it cut right to the bone..... Each morning you could hear your own heart breaking, So you tried, but couldn't leave your need alone? That something filled the hungry space inside you.. From eyes to mind, from mind to heart and soul.. With all the years and all the things you've been through.. That something breaks your will and takes control.. And now, just when you think you have it mastered.. Your daily life takes on a boring stance... That something steps on in, your heart beats faster, It knocks you off your feet, then makes you dance... So, here the question rises out of nowhere...... Is that something worth the risk you take? Will it be the right thing you will find there? Or will that something prove to be a fake? You know that something represents a danger..... You won't admit it represents a thrill...... It has a name and it is not a stranger... Nor can you turn it off and on at will......... So, now you realize that something's got you.... your heart, your mind, your longing, and your need; Most everyone becomes a slave to something.... Hey doreen.....maybe we share the same muse!! I've often wondered how you knew what I was thinking as I read your work!!!! Aaaaaaah.....that's the joy of sharing on this site.. Good grief Sunny.... I sit here and I am listening to "Lenny" by Stevie Ray Vaughn, as I read this masterpiece that you have written. It goes with this song, and you have touched me, more than any other writing you have done. All that I can say is that your romantic tender heart is speaking. |

Bill.... Oh....that is almost too much!!!! I am so into SRV, and when he died, it felt like I lost a personal friend. I love the blues to listen to, to play, and this work just begs to be blue. I do honestly appreciate your being here, and telling me how you feel about this....and thank you for comparing it to 'Lenny'......that, to me, is a high honor, indeed!!, and I don't think Stevie would mind at all.............. Hi Kit.... I think poets are thinking and feeling deeper and more than the norm, therefore, I really do believe there is a lot of mental energy passed back and forth. It is possible for creative people to stimulate each other by a sort of ESP....so maybe you were transmitting at the same time I was receiving!!!! On the lighter side.....that something could mean any thing that takes hold of you. Most of us at Passions say yes...I'm hooked, I know! Thank you, Kit, and I shall read your mind more often!!!!!!
