You’ve been sitting there just laughing, Ever since I came in here. I’ve been driving hard since Tucson- Thought I’d have myself a beer. I guess we do dress differently- Me, with boots, and jeans, and hat... You wear leathers, fly your “colors” I see nothin’ wrong with that. You ride your big old Harleys- And I ride my Brahma bulls. But your lives sure do seem empty- While the one I live is full. We’re both misfits in this crazy world- They say we’re both insane. Me, because I love my freedom- You, because you love your gang. You’ve had your fun at my expense- From the time I stepped inside. I’ve tried hard, hoss, to ignore you... But you’re stepping on my pride. I guess the odds are kinda long- For me to talk this way. And if I was a smarter man- I’d probably walk away. You see I’m just a cowboy- But I wear the brand with pride! If you can’t mind your business... Then follow me outside! There’s ten of you, and one of me- But I guess that’s all right. It might mean it’s a massacre- Rather than a fight. All I want is elbow room... And you want room to ride- I gave you yours, now give me mine, Or follow me outside. "You come into this life crying, while the world rejoices. Your goal in life should be to live it in such a fashion, as to leave this world rejoicing, |

Wow, you sound like you just rode in from one of our Texas ranches to the local bar. Around here they make room for both types of riders. I did enjoy this poem! |
