In tangled tears from sleepy skies
A warm Spring rain of silence cries.
Ineptitude, the blinding curse
That leads the mind and soul in verse.
With simple logic tossed aside,
The only sense to sense is pride:
The only dream worth dream a farce
Of feelings feigned, of hopes grown sparse.

Where vacant eyes yet bleed by dawn
Of sovereign penance reached upon
A fallacy of forespent gloom
That still reeks of impending doom.
The breath of life, in swollen lung,
- A stale taste of sorrows wrung.
- A wheeze, a tease from doctrines past
That nothing good in life will last.

- An albatross hung ‘bout the neck
Of soul in sail, a twisted wreck.
- Upon the porch, the daunting stare
Of evil once, nevermore, there.
- A walk with Beauty - sweet, sublime -
That ever holds the hands of Time,
If for a fleeting moment, still;
Then slowly ebbs away at will ...

...As all falls calm amid the stir
Of peaceful song in sweet Grandeur.
...As all now heed the living word
Of one, when living, thought absurd.
...Of one now dead and laid to rest
But by all means and manners blessed:
Far greater ‘neath this cairn of stone
Than faced with one more day alone!

Michael Anderson

Yet if Hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

oh how Ive missed your rhyme...
this is pure POE-tic M,

no one can touch your work when you write like this...
and you ALWAYS write like this...
in awe of you always

There are places inside our souls -
that have never been touched.
There are places inside our hearts -
that need to be loved this much.

Michael...
This reader is left so affected by your works... that words always fail to come out properly to appreciate the beauty of them... this one is no different...

Oh Michael ... sigh ... it is so good to see your words flow across this screen again. The depth of your sentiments reaches through to the very core of my mind, and pulls me in every time. Stunning words penned with such mastery ... beautiful Michael!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Last two lines are killer - loneliness can really mess with our heads and make us think in the wee hours of the morning that we are better off dead.
