Enhanced

I found within cascading thoughts
immersed in sun while shadows danced
a need to speak, in candid course
of how, through you, my life's enhanced

Our love of words, an honest art,
when weaving worlds of verse and rhyme
This blessing has befallen us
and shan't depart before its time

For friendship grows with every laugh
and every teardrop draws us nigh
We've had bestowed a gracious gift
of treasured trust in vast supply

So take my tender hand in yours
and we will talk into the night
to share the contents of our hearts
and travel miles before the light

What a beautiful way to write...

Sudhir, my word, what a lovely thing to say to a person. Thank you, my friend.

Julie, thank you! My first creative writing professor in college was the person who, above all else, put it into my mind that perhaps I might be able to write. A remarkable man, a poet laureate, to whom I will always be grateful.

Brian, I read a BEAUTIFUL poem of yours today! The one for your friend, Alan. Still loving that one, my friend. Thanks for reading this, it comes directly from my heart.

serenity, "poetic gossamer" sounds so nice...thank you, in earnest, for your ever encouraging notes here. I'm glad you enjoyed this one...I enjoyed composing it.

What a lovely way you have of describing friendship.  This person is very fortunate to have a friend such as yourself.

Take care,

Beautiful!  Just beautiful!  You have such a marvelous talent.  This could be me writing to my husband, and I couldn't have said it better.  Thank you for lending me words to express my heart.

Rosemary, if your husband is this kind of friend to you (and yes, I know he is!) then you are so very blessed. As am I, for your taking time to let me know how much you enjoyed reading this. Thank you so much.

Miss Marge, I thank you, sincerely, for your gracious commentary. You "do" say the sweetest things!

Kamla, my humblest of thanks to you, my friend.

Bill, what tender thought you've expressed...thank you.

Coco, your sighs and smiles have inspired the same from me... thank you!
