My body is a friendly inn
For assorted aches and pains:
The ligament that's taut as wire,
The throbbing knee before it rains,

The tooth with nerve inflamed and raw,
The cramp deep in the bowel,
The pounding in the frontal lobe
The itch beneath the cowl,

The burning at the bottoms
Of my feet, both left and right,
The iron grip upon the spleen
That keeps me up at night.

Of agonies that I endure,
By far the very worst
Is knowing that you never feel
The pain with which I'm curst.

Dom - This is a well-written poem.  The lines flowed smoothly, and the theme stayed right on track.  Now, as to those pains... perhaps we could take up a collection and send them all the Balladeer.  Oops, I guess we can't do that after all.  He's already a big enough pain without any help from us.  *heh heh - ol' 'Deer is on the run now....*
