My Own Britches
~*Marge Tindal*~

Well, folks here's a story
that will give you a glimpse of my plight
It's all I can do to wear my own britches
and sometimes even those are too tight

I haven't the time or inclination
to wonder about the others
Who's doing who - Who did what
and if he spoke kind of his mother

I've only one lot in life to tend
with friendships on the side
Gossipy thoughts from others
I've not the time to abide

If we're burning at the stake
then get those fires a'blazing
Cause I confess I've lusted over
poets thoughts put here for gazing

String me up and let me swing
Gallow me to death
But just before I go
let me hear once more
that romantic poetic breath

It's all I can do to wear my own britches
No other britches do I own
So if they're talking about me
they're leaving some other poor soul alone !

Hi Marge,

This was delightful and was a very good message for us all to think about, dear friend.  However, right now I'm not thinking because I'm laughing too hard.  Wonderful!!

Glad you got a kick out of it.
Now pull those pants up !
That's how rumors get started, ya' know ? !

Serenity~
Yah ! Well I've learned in this life
that MY back yard is all I have to mow ...

MarkB~
Luv, sometimes ya' just gotta step up to the
plate and blast a homer !
Keep smiling, cowboy !

Martie~
Thanks, sis !
I'm just too big for my britches sometimes !
LOVE YA' !

Bonnie~
Well, thank ya' gal.
Been there - done that - don't intend to
stand idly by and watch the cud-chewers do
their thing.

Michael~
I'm glad to know you got a chuckle out of
my little hissy-fit !
I do try to throw them quietly ... sometimes !

Marge you'll never be too big for your britches because you write so nice.
I know Marge you'll always have britches
That fit just right.

Great poem I just loved the idea of the content........write on!  write on!
