For some reason today, I thought of an old challenge poem PdV wrote, entitled 'Frog on my Lap'.  That was the impetus and inspiration for this one.

There's a Toad on my Lap

There's a toad on my lap
And it will not leave,
And I really don't know
How it got there.

I was sitting on a bench
When I felt pressure on my lap.
Now, I figured it was because
Of that busty, leggy jogger,

But no. When down I looked
It looked back and made a sound,
'Blergerarp' with inflated throat
Squatting on my lap.

And it would not budge,
Not even when I stood,
Dug in on my lap like,
Well, like a toad on a stone.

That nasty, icky, warty,
Brownish-grey, pissing,
Croaking, cross-eyed toad
Will not leave my lap!

I'm at a loss as to what to do
As the people point and stare.
I guess I'll have to take him home;
I think I'll call him George.

Well... I'm speechless.  And I'm not sure if whether that's a good thing or bad.?.?.?    < !signature-->
