Gentle maiden tender and mild
By sin and darkness undefiled
I came to you as a child
Seeking refuge from
                  the world so wild

I came to you, arms open wide
Longing so to be by your side
You gave me rest and took me in
Protecting my broken
                  heart within

Gentle maiden, lover and friend
Hold my heart close until the end
And when daylight dawns fresh and new
Know always my heart
                  that I love you

Sven, such a delicately expressed verse, this. Your maiden, how can she possibly deny you? Just beautiful, my friend...

they have said it all... so tender, so evocative, so romantic...

Sir Sven, you rule the lover's waves... and you sail on the romantic tides much better than many others...

Fairest maiden, see thy missive sent
from stoic Knight, 'tis his bent
to place soul's heart upon thy sleeve
in order that thee would believe
of his loyalty, oath, vow and then
know he be staidfast till the end.

***

Your maiden faire dost not know how fortunate she be...so you have my heartfelt admiration for pursuing her from here to eternity!

The problem with replying so late is that every body else has already said what I want to say.  Can I just say ditto and this has a magical fantasy touch to it...reminds me of reading medieval lit.

Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.
