Converse Conversation

"Suffering produces character",
   The pious ones say,
As if pain, the redactor,
   Pleasure could betray.
   Impious heresy:
"Suffering's a detractor
   Sans product to display,
Regarding anything, thereafter".

"Passion produces felicity",
    Impious heretics say,
"Speech, its own credibility,
    Has no piper to pay".
    Pious popinjay:
"Pleasure's a principality
    Sans food on its tray,
Starving anything, in totality".
