Gershwin's Seduction

A dance thru time, melody and rhyme
old jazz shared with a new heart,
my sweet Embraceable You.
Warmth of touch,
a kiss that says so much.
They Can’t Take That Away From Me.
I close my eyes and hold you near.
Harmonic rhythm disguises
soft sultry moans  within your throat
beneath my wandering lips.
They All Laughed,
I smile and  press you closer
till awareness leaves us breathless,
closing our eyes to the world.
In a crowd totally alone
staying close as your heat
melts away my clothes.
Anyone watching will surely know
though the layers remain
bodies sway in ancient dance.
My hands along your back caress,
loving you with softly whispered words,
your body languidly moving with mine
as you shudder safe in my arms.
Taking your hand
leading you from the floor,
watching you blush as people return
who never left our sight even when
Love Walked In.
Knowing we had shared more
than we should ever there allowed, yet
Aren’t You Kind Of Glad We Did?

Yeah George was a genius when it came to composing and Ira could write such beautiful endearing lyrics. They were indeed sensational......this is a very good piece and it captures the time perfectly.....

Good to get to know you....ethome..

Yes, George and Ira knew exactly what they were up to! This one was simply fun to write, brought back a few really fond memories. Thank you, ethome, for the encouragement.

Evan...may I have some COLD water please? I love the way you interwove the song titles thru your words...words of sweet seduction, softly spoken and understated, the way a woman wants to be seduced...WOW

never say never

Thank you, Doreen...and now I hum then again as well..now, what did I do with that cd?

With a long held breath given dark freedom, the single flame in sorrow's window flickers out.
