               Life is lived in stages:
            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Like an open book with many pages to be read...
    You start at the beginning, only ending when
                   you're dead...
    But in between the start and end, are chapters
                   that unfold...
    Lessons learned and pages turned and stories
                   to be told....
               Starting with Stage One:
            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You grow out of your baby stage, you're young
                   and fancy free...
    You find someone and settle down, and start
                      a family...
    It only takes a few years 'til it all becomes
                       a bore...
    Then by the time you're thirty, you just know
                  there's something
                        more....

               Now entering Stage Two:
            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Home is now the place that pushes you right
                  out the door...
    Your mate has gone and you don't even care
                  much anymore...
    You're only thirty, fancy free, and you find
                  someone new...
    A little older, you join hands, to turn a
                  page or two...
               Welcome to Stage Three:
            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Now you feel as if you want to be up at the
                      top...
    You spend your days and nights at work, not
                knowing when to stop...
    It may take twenty years for you to finally
                  see the light...
    But when you do, it's by yourself, there's
               no one else in sight!!

             Open the door to Stage Four:
           ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    You're older and much wiser than before...
                It's plain to see...
    You know just how to play the game, determine
                   what will be...
    So it's your turn, the table waits, the dice
                are yours to cast...
    Life is just a gamble.......................
               And she saves...
Hi jm....
         Ahh, glad you enjoyed this little
    piece. Yes, the best stage is the last.
    Even if a person screws up stages 1,2,&
    3.....there's still one to go at the end!
           Thank you, my friend!!< !signature-->
Hi Sunny, this was great! Just like you were telling me, only put into a poem. Perfect and fun, and hopeful, at the same time. Glad you had a chance to write.
Sunny that is so sad but so true... unfortunately that's how it all works out sometimes. It does'nt seem fair that we start to mature and start to see things in the proper perspective at the very end of our life when there is so little years left.
I like the title and the poem very very much ...keep up the good work!
