Challenges to all Poets  (do you dare)

ok-here are the rules.....take one or all and do as you must
but remember only one per post to you this I entrust
take this as a gift and challenge to all you poets I admire
my little scraps of verses lying around...looking for a home is their desire

#1                        #2
If and when                                    Pen and quill
have come and gone                      mixed with passions ink
and gone is here to taunt                      makes the poets swill
                                                                  in  which we all drink

#3
From within this magnolia tree
virgin white petals thrust out their purity
begging for a moment of sweltering disgrace
from caressing rays of warmth upon their face

#4
Palms of sweat
and eyes of tears
anxieties were met
easing our fears

"Sis"-the favorite?..is that the challenge or the poet?LOL  So glad you accepted the challenge....

Do as we did
and did as we must
for through it all
we gained in faith and trust.

John- so glad you are up to it and tomorrow is fine....

Sudhir-my good friend, nice to have you back from your trip....how was it?

So the challenge you take
to bed in your dreams
To the sound of alarms you will wake
and all is was and was as it seems

Done and done, challenge accepted.
Tonight when I am home
and you all are sleeping
I'll try to post a poem
that will start you weeping.
Be well

I am weary almost time for bed,
reading the challenge I sleepily nod my head
Oh but where oh where will I find the time
and does the poem has to be in rhyme.
I think I will save this for the weekend,
thank for this challenge my friend.

Maureen-for you to make me a part of your 1000th post honors me to no end.  Your special feeling should come in knowing that your poems and replies have meant so much to all of us and we relish in all those soft hugs you give.  I am glad you take the challenge and would love to see all four met.

Kethry-
If it is tears that you seek
from the challenge you take
then make it honest and sad
and your wish I will not forsake

JulieAnn-you have taken the challenge and set new records in doing so.  Now let's see you take the others and break some more..( more medals await)

Brain-save for when you need it and I will be here....no need for thanks...my thanks comes from your acceptance and honors me deep.

do I dare think that I belong
to this lovely challenger's song
oh do say I may come and transpire
a little ditty that you've inspired...?

Karilea-

The song has been sung
so sing yours out loud
to sing one of your songs
will make this poet proud

I want to thank everyone that indulged me in my challenge.  I was overwhelmed with all of your support in helping me vent when I needed to.  Now there is one more challenge I set before you and it is the most important of all.  In the maddening pace that you all picked up on this we sort of made some very beautiful pieces of work go off to the wayside by those not in the challenge...this was not my intent.  I ask all of you now to please join me in calling up these wonderful poems and letting them know HONESTLY how much they mean to you.  I will be pulling up each and everyone that I can.  You all know that I do not give quick reads with generic replies so this is going to take me awhile.  I will do my best to get it done and in the best way I can.  I invite all of you to do the same and show your respect to all the other poets here as much as you have me and hopefully I was able to do with you.  Once again I thank you all and I am left in awe at all the beautiful posts you turned out from my simple verses....you all have touched my heart and I ask that you go and meet a new poet or just visit an old friend......Thank you.
