There are little things in all of us Just minute little details That make us who we are And some of us call those imperfections Some of us call those blessings And some call them the unknown The unknown is scary in itself a little on the edge of thought Not wanting to be brought to the front Lingering like a snow flake on the window Only to disappear from the warmth Like a wink in passing Uncertainty in contact is fear Fear is the manifestation of hope But the realization of failure right around the corner That is why we listen to butterflies Fluttering away in are stomachs When we make contact in flesh But why we flee from the contact of soul The soul is a window into truth The soul tells no lies It's like the real world that way Not the world of lights and film But of the one behind the other window The one of glass by your side That tells no lies And hides no pain From all who care to look through it's panes When it comes down to it though The world is what drives us all The bright light of ambition The cool well of hope The spring day of success These rewards make us go for it all The butterflies fly away And the pain subsides And love fills the soul Fills the mind Fills the heart Fills the world These are the little things in all of us |

~Gurion WOW!!! This is just totally awesome! I had to read this poem a couple times...each time coming away with a new angle on it. I loved the first stanza...I tend to think the little imperfections of each of us is what makes us special, and stand out from everyone else. I also loved the part of the poem where you talked about the human soul. You were so on the money with the part where you said that the human soul has no windows and can not lie!
