Dreams
By: Amy M. Kennedy

Dreams...have you ever wondered what they are?
Are they our deepest fantasies, something we'd only wish on a star
Are they the things we want but can't reveal
Things that we are scared of and fear
They say dreams are our subconcious thoughts, that are not brought out in the day
Are dreams just really our hopes and fantasies, that we dare not ever say
I think dreams are all of these things
They help us to be able to hope and feel free
They give us a way out of ordinary life
Out of our misery, pain, loss and strife
To me dreams can symbolize peace and new beginnings
But I also know that at times, dreams can be quite scary
So, as you close your eyes this evening and fall fast alseep
Falling farther and father into a sleep that is deep
I wish for you dreams of happiness and love
Dreams of joy and peace like a white flying dove
And tomorrow morning when you wake up
I hope you have a smile on your face, remembering what you dreamt of

Nice thoughts about dreams. Dreams are there for a purpose, they can be great problem solvers it we listen to them. Sometimes they are the truth of our inner most being at work.

Welcome to Passions, Amy!

These are just some of the things I wonder about dreaming - they are an enigma, our dreams. Nice piece!
