                 Unknown

Unknown too unknown we are born.
A light for a moment then gone.
No chance for an ambience, It's
Silence to violence to silence.

From earth to earth is the thrust.
And from dust to dust we must.
For in between lies caprice,
The ambergris, of altarpiece.

Neither saint nor sinner is born.
Neither looser or winner to mourn.
The answer lies beyond the stars
And the doors are open, ajar.

We are partial of a sequence,
Part and parcel of ordinance.
We dance upon the fickle of chance,
In the nuance of a trance.

If such is dearly and really the case,
Then I sincerely question my place.

I've always thought we were here for a greater purpose...that we're all given a gift.  Some realize the gift and choose not to use it.  Others relish the gift and make a difference.  While others never see it...are oblivious to it's power.
As to what lies beyond, I have it in my heart that it is more grand than we can possibly fathom.

Now see what you do?  You always have me thinkin'!  Stop it!!  LOL  (Don't you DARE!!)

Seymour-
What a 'thinker' this is.
Crafted with mastery
from the master of the mysteries of life.
So well-done, sweet man.

Sy,
It's far beyond Jupiter or Mars
The answer lies beyond the stars
But in the sum of everything
The answer's in a sparrow's sing
An exquisite poem
A beautiful read
Love ya

If such were the case, I would be questioning my place too, Sy.  Good poem - excellent point made!

Life as it's best
A hollow sound came from my chest
As all the air i stored had left
I red from a U to e with holding awe
such piece there Sy that I saw
You never fail to cling my mind

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

I never, ever question your place
when your words do me embrace,
but thank the powers that be
that your words will live for eternity.

Seymour, you write so beautifully. I agree with Sally, there is so much wonder, so many questions. I love thinking about it all. I feel connected to a higher power but the knowing how escapes me. My Mom and I like to toy with different theories, mostly making up our own. This is a great 'thinking' poem. Thank you for sharing it!   -SEA

Sy, I enjoyed the composition of this piece...both in sound and substance. The unknown is good for us...it gives our minds a playground.
