A few of my favorite things…

Blowing dandelion wishes
Unknown ‘breakfast in bed’ dishes

Doctored scraped knee dismays
Single flower head bouquets

Grass stained pirouette spins
Shiny gapped tooth grins

Outgrown purple satin bows
Goofy mothers day shows

Carefully hand crafted mud pies
Red handed cookie jar alibis

Van Gough finger paintings
Successful potty training

Bedtime bathroom stalls
Middle of the night water calls

Chasing closet monster blues
With Pooh Bears night light hues

Hurts healed with a simple kiss
From mommy’s magical lips

Happy hugs from tiny arms
Payment for nursery rhyme charms

Hershey chocolate baby fingers
Memories that continue and linger

Just a few of my favorite things….

A few years ago, I would've read something like this and thought, "Eh...it's okay", and not given it a second thought, but now that I AM a mother, it takes on a whole new meaning.....I loved this very much--I can relate!!! Thanks!

Breathe~

You take my breath away with this one.
Silly ?  Silly ?  NOT !

Tender, loving, reach-out-and-touch-me thoughts to melt the heart of this mom.
If it wasn't so late at night, I'd call
every one of my children and HUG 'em
with Mommy-Mush !
Shucks, think I will anyway !
I LOVE THIS !

Wow!  Thanks everyone SOOOO much!

I was a bit unsure of this...as rhyming is not something I have really done before...all in all...the poem has great meaning to me...and I am thrilled that you all enjoyed...*grin*

and MARGE!  *more hugs*  You are such a sweetie!
