My Heart

The Vines of Love

The vines of Love's embrace
have found me reeling
Entangled through my heart
with fevered feeling

As our hearts, now woven,
merge in pulsing fashion
Reaching tendrils cling and coil
with pure love's passion

And through the flowing,
fluid whisperings of emotion
These Vines of Love
surround and seal
our hearts' devotion

Happy Valentines Day Everyone
~ Claire ~

Beautifully expressed.  May you gaze upon a shining star tonight and be touched by its

Ah that such devotion could be sealed and clung to forever.   I am envious.  Beautiful poem, Claire.

Lady of the Meadow... how beautiful are your words... perfect for the day and the heart. I also like the choice of font... works well with the poem. Have a wonderful day.

Mike...thank you for that beautiful wish. May your gaze and heart rest upon that same star of splendor.

Michael...no need for envy, at least where I'm concerned ~ this was written mostly from memory. I do thank you for reading, though, and am pleased that you liked this.

Lavada...thanks for reading, and I'll try to stay cool!

Beautiful words to a beautiful occation
Such softness and devotion
Wonderful

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Thank you, Ms. Hoot Owl. So glad you enjoyed this poem...I wondered if it was too "mushy"...   I guess it was alright..lol

Yeah, it was too mushy! Just teasing Claire. This is actually bordering on erotic in the "feel" of it! It seems to breathe passion to the reader. Ethereal in a very real sort of way!

Christopher...thanks for reading, even if it was too mushy! I'm glad the erotic quality came through...I was attempting a movement toward that direction, but with a sense of subtlety.

Martie...thank you so much, Martie. A wonderful compliment coming from you.

Jeez, Claire, you have me down on the floor from the subtle power (somehow, not an oxymoron) in your words. You've talked about love in many of its facets all in so few verses. Teach me, mold me. Well, okay, I won't go THAT far, but I will say, great poem!

Claire~
This is absolutely beautiful.
The intertwining of the limbs of love
is very sensually done.
How very, very much I admire your work.
You paint upon the canvas, a masterpiece.

Gunslinger...Thank you for reading this one, and for the kindly response.

Mike...Thanks for saying all that you said.

Marge...we are in mutual admiration, then. Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed this.
