She stands in the corner ...
waiting for his sign.
If he could only just let her in,
contentment would define.

Her need so intense,
it draws and holds him there ...
While at the same time,
his long protected heart, it does scare.

His body he offers ...
his emotions he spares.
She understand his reasons,
there is only so much ...
he can allow himself to share.

Still he comforts her gently,
with his gifts of verse and rhyme.
Embracing her pain ...
with his perfect words so sublime.

All she really wants ...
is to ease his tired mind.
They both learned long ago ...
reality can be unkind.

Her eyes see his heart,
hidden between the lines.
She is so drawn to his words ...
the intense depth of his mind.

Consumed by him ...
she would give herself away.
Contentment comes with much cost,
her heart being the price to pay.

More than she wants him --
she wants him to see his own light.
She wishes for him the vision  ...
to see himself with his gifted poetic sight.

So she tries to accept ...
he's not hers to hold.
Still fate brought them to here ...
In time the reasons will be told.

Until then, she stands in the corner ...
patiently waiting for his sign.
And she writes him this poem ...
hoping to reach him with her rhyme.

Janet Marie

Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders
And it makes me want to touch you there.
And the light in your eyes makes me feel
Like there's something much better out there
Something kind...
And I know someday I might be looking around
Trying to find some purpose
Well purpose it can't be that hard to find
As long as I've got the wind...
The wind and your love to carry me.

JM.... maybe you just need to be chased by another romantic poet, get him moving off his butt. Get him to show a little heart of emotion, free himself from any reservations.
So, I'm free saturday....   If that doesn't work maybe I'll have to serenade you with some sweet love poems.

Janet,
I would like to say thank you for sharing this poem at just the right time. I really needed to hear such a beautifully written work of art. You have enlightened me to a whole new plane of thought. One that I now can see the bigger picture of a relationship.
You certainly have a big heart. Continue on your journey and keep your head up. You wiil achieve your heart's desire.

With much love and admiration,

JM I love this, it's so very real. I agree with Hoot_owl_rn though, sometimes you have to make very obvious.

I will lay down my life if thats what you need
every second I live thats the promise I make"

J.M.*
WOW!!! This is amazing and shook me head to toe....or would that be wing to wing...You capture such amazing feeling here!!!

His body he offers ...
his emotions he spares.
She understand his reasons,
there is only so much ...
he can allow himself to share

Until then, she stands in the corner ...
patiently waiting for his sign.
And she writes him this poem ...
hoping to reach him with her rhyme.

Magnificent!!!! Angel wing hugs to you my S.S. for I understand all that you write with and relate to what you feel here.
Take care of you!!!

Kiss me for tomorrow
But love me for today.
