My touch is slick poison
My words – a whispered curse
I am hidden, I am hiding
I am the poorly written verse

I am tired of sharing my heart
Tired of losing out to Fate
Sick of the games attempted with me
Weary of fighting off hate

Tear out my heart and its feelings too
So that I may live my life in peace
I’m tired of the sideline hurt
Sweet Apathy - my blissful surcease

Very cool.  Sounds familiar

"The storm rises up when the shadows descend
every beat of my heart every day without end
I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break
till theres no more to give if thats what it takes
I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed
I will lay down my life if thats what you need
every second I live thats the promise I make"

I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =)

Great Poem with so much truth,

"I am tired of sharing my heart
Tired of losing out to Fate
Sick of the games attempted with me
Weary of fighting off hate"

This stanza describes my feelings and thoughts so well.

Great job!

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship."

*sigh*
I doubt anything I can say will help.

this is AWESOME...
very beautiful poem,
its wisdom and grace kinda blow the first stanza out of the water tho...(smile)
loved this poem.
take care, jm

 ...every moment of every day...
your still with me in every way.
every poem and song...
every rhyme and verse...
your still here...like a beautiful curse.

Thank you all for your kind replies, and I'm sorry that so many can relate...Apathy is a wonderful thing, but its eventual whiplash of feeling is a bummer.  lol

Michael: Not at all...you know me so well that even your silence is comforting.

JM:  What a sweet thing to say!

Ali: Hey guy, thanks for the read.
