Buried Questions
Does it hurt you so much- every time you walk away?
Do you feel that heavy voice- that’s needing you to stay?
Because if you go- you know- it’ll only break your heart?

Do you feel that emptiness- as you storm across the floor?
Do you want to take it back- with each step towards the door?
Do you honestly know that after this- we’ll be the same no more?

Do you take a mental picture- the last you’ll ever see?
Do you memorize my face- so that you won’t forget me?
Or do you blank out all the memories-finally making you free?

Does it hurt to recall the words we shared through bitter voice?
Does it anger you to know right then- that you had no choice?
Do your cheeks burn with warm tears- new and still so moist?

Does it sadden you to know the love you lost tonight?
Do you honestly realize- that you didn’t choose me over pride?
So many questions buried away with the part of me that’s died…

devina, this pain is so much on the surface of you skin. It reminds me of how I felt once, and I wouldn't want that on anyone. I got my arms around my PC just for you. Just close your eyes and lean on my shoulder for a little.

Heart breaking. Bitterly familiar, especially the tears. Great job, ma'am.

I'm a new member and your poem is the first I've read form this site and I couldn't have chosen a better one.  I only hope you aren't experiencing the  all too familiar pain you wrote about.

Lovely feelings, Devina.

'Do you honestly know that after this-
we’ll be the same no more?'

Longingly your heart displays the
sighs of love's changes.

devina,
I was told at an early age "If you don`t ask you`ll never know" and this made me think about just how true that is.
But still there are so many buried question`s inside all of us,well atleast in me.
Nice poem Devina

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

Beautifully sad, Devina.  Very well expressed feelings.  I hope your rose blooms again soon, also.

angelswing- thank you for the kind thoughts.

Wizzard- there's much truth in that thought...if only I hadn't stopped and told him before...instead of after!!!

jascanvey- *Smiling just for you  * thanks for the hug...I needed that!!!

Micheal- with spring coming, there's a good chance for both our roses to bloom...yours probably sooner than mine though!

Devina, you are always so deep in sad poetry
I wonder how much deeper a love poem would be
Your melting many hearts already
And every time I go and read you seem to get wiser with the second
Such lovely poem
Big Hug
Keep this up and you have me in tears

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Stubborness has always been a companion of passion -- how we must endeavor to temper ourselves of the very thing that we could use to hold on through tough times -- if we were only as stubborn about being loved as we are about being right...hold on de... hold on...

I had to wipe the tears away to type, after reading this...I could swear you people are
spying on me.   I feel like we are sisters now.  I am hoping that this is fictional, but I've candle burning for you anyhow.
