The Image

A mirror seeks confession
From a hushed soul
A dilemma, perhaps depression
For whom the bells will toll

Envy, the evil of intent
In jealousy the devil dance’s to joy
A war rages when one is never content
But whom does it destroy?

The mirror does reveal
What a heart may feel
And time can never steal
If the image is true and real

oooh marina, i love this cryptic poem of dark ponderings...very good
take care, jm

 and you can say baby...
baby can I hold you tonight
maybe if told you the right words...
at the right time,
you'd be mine...
baby can I hold you tonight...

Very haunting in it's implications

This is always the last person that you ask and always the hardest one to listen to.  Very well done.

Not to be funny Marina. . .but this is very *ahem* "Reflective". . .

And it shows me a whole other side of you. . . I like it. . .it's always hardest to ask those of the person in the mirror. . .

Wonderful, my friend. . .

Butterflie, thank you very much and you are exactly right.  I am so glad someone could interperate it so perfectly!

Sven, it would appear to me that you are shocked at all the sides of me!  What did you think I was just a pretty face!!!

 Fleeting World
"Thus shall ye think of all this fleeting world:
A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream;
A flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream."
-from the Diamond Sutra, translated by : A. F. Price -- found in Teachings of The Buddha, edited by Jack Kornfield

Marina~
Nice glance into the looking glass.
This is pondering material.
I ponder.
