Palms of Pompano

Palms of Pompano, keep gently swaying
Midnight’s soft guitar, please don’t stop playing
My love’s in Pompano, such tender sorrow
I’ll be with him again, one sweet tomorrow

His promises of love, touch me completely
Oh, love song from his heart, keep singing sweetly
I kneel at midnight hour, in silence praying
So thankful for that night with palm trees swaying

At dawn I feel his distant passion waking
The thunderous waves of love, forever breaking
The sands of timeless hours, so slowly falling
A voice from Pompano is softly calling

My love is far away, such tender sorrow
I’ll be with him again, one sweet tomorrow

Elizabeth,
Perhaps some zinfandel will help,
Or some ice cream made of kelp.
I love your verse and rhyme as well
It always, always rings my bell.
Beautiful.
Love Sy

I think I can safely say that this is the first poem ever written about Pompano. You have immortalized it, Liz, as you have yourself in our eyes.

Elizabeth~
With tender move
of palm trees swaying
you took me along ..
I heard with beauty
the melody
of the guitar's song.

Exquiste, my friend.
