Lovers for a Lifetime

Two souls a life of love have lived
nearly perfect start to finish.
Through heart and soul and mind formed one
from loves first blush till passions last
a perfect understanding past.
Fidelity and trust were born
revered by each and never scorned.
Each year the vow of love renewed
blessed them each a love refreshed
commited to new faithfulness.
He held her hand that final time
and kissed her lips a last goodbye
waited for their souls to join again
to share with her eternal life.
