Commentary

Sweet spring
Fruit trees fragrant
Blossoms yielding tomorrows.

Babies without tears
clutched against the breast
of panic
thrown across the bony hip
of poverty
Sweet spring?
Yielding what tomorrows?

Martie, this is very good and very touching.  I thought the first part was going to be a haiku and was a little disappointed until I read the second half.  Very sad but oh so good.

Martie~
Poingnant piece.
Touches on the realism of today.
Wonderful work again, my friend.

Very good, Martie. Sad but true commentary.

such a sad reality
the never ending perpetual poverty
we need to be reminded now and again
we have fed supper to some of these small children ... lost count of the times
