I wrote this after my very first meeting with Toerag... and remembered its existence while talking with Elizabeth yesterday. *S* Even though I saw Toe just last week, I'm missing him so much... perhaps this explains why. *S*

Your coming filled the empty spaces
And soothed at last my restless soul.
Though I'd never even met you
I'd needed you to make me whole.
Haunting dreams and endless longings
Undefined and ill-expressed
Were answered when I turned and saw you
My inner search could finally rest.
I recognized my other self
A part of me I'd never known
After all my life without you
Finding you was coming home.

If there's anything about Toe I envy (besides his wit, talent, brains and morals)it's the regard in which you hold him. Any man should be so lucky to have a Suthern in his corner. Excellent writing, dear friend.

LR: It wasn't one of the hidden ones. *G* I had no reason to write it until I met him.

Balladeer: I can understand your envy of his wit, talent, brains and morals... all are without equal. *G* But you can't really be envious of him having to put up with this pest? LOL. You should be sending your sympathies to him. *G*

Thank you gentlemen.... very much!!!

Suthern, my friend,
I have to agree with Balladeer ... what a lucky fellow, Toe, to have a heart such as yours in his corner ....
Beautiful poem !!

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

What a great tribute to a man you regard in such high esteem. He is truly blessed to be your friend and you are blessed in return. Lovely sentiments to him.

WildChild: Thank you... he does bless my life... and I know it! *S*

Martie: Awwww... you're such a dear... thank you! *S*

James: I agree!!! *S*

Denise: Thank you... I always feel I lack the words to convey what he means to me... of course, if he has any objection to me posting this, I only need one... and that's "oops." LOL But he's read it before... and he is aware I'm missing him! *G*

Suthern,
This poem is beautiful and so are you.
I enjoyed meeting you by phone and hope some day to meet you in person. How about next year at Shannon's. I have a poem to send you when I get home. It's called " To Hell With Psychiatrists"

Suthern~
Ain't no man in his right mind that wouldn't want to see this in print. (oh, we are talking about Toe ... well)

Girlfriend .. this just rocks !
What wonderful adoration.
Keep telling him ... he's sitting somewhere tonight saying, 'I got me a woman that loves me and don't mind telling the world about it.'  And he's proud as punch.

Toeman .... you gotta be one helluva guy to set little Suthern's heart a'twitter.

did you get that I loved it out of the above? *raises her eyebrows in a sincere questioning look* cause I did

Nan: It's a heartfelt sentiment! *G*

Elizabeth: You dear... I enjoyed our talk so very much and am looking forward to that poem!  *S*

Corinne: And a terrific tush it is! *G*

PDV: I couldn't stop if I tried... and I've no intention of trying. *S*

Marge: Hey! Don't you be casting aspersions on that magnificent mind! LOL. (Of course, he could be wondering if that woman will ever hush. *G*)

Corazon: I'm so glad you clarified! *G* What I'd gotten from your words was plenty of confusion... *G* I figured you'd done that deliberately hoping to confuse me enough so you could cut in line... no way! LOL.

Thank you, ladies... your kind comments mean a lot to me and I appreciate you reading!

Awww, Suthern!  Just a big ol' sigh coming from me

What is it they say? Distance makes the heart grow fonder? Ya know I wish you two could be together always, and never have to miss each other!  Many hugs to you lady! He's a special guy and you a special lady, you're both blessed!

WhtDove: You dear... *S* This heart is already pretty fond.... the distance is pure nuisance! LOL. (Of course, that's just my view. *EG* Toe might see it as protection! LOL)

Michael: Thank you... I'll ignore the "old" comment... for there's not much of an age difference. *G* He's busy and without access... a nasty combo. *G* But he did mention earlier this week that he might have a chance to play soon... so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! *G* (That will explain any and all typos... right? *G*)
