He was meter man
And she was meter maid.
She could write meter like nobody can
Sweeter than orange marmalade.
He was a rhymster
A nickle and dimester
A duck in a penny arcade.
He was a meter man...don't you know
And she was a meter maid.

She was a meter maid
He was a meter man.
She lines up verses in perfect parade,
Darned if I know how she can.
He's got the rhythm
It always goes with him
Constant as waves upon sand.
She was a meter maid...yes, she was
And he was a meter man.

He was a meter man.
She was a meter maid.
Words came forth flowing from two rhyming pens,
Soldiers in marching brigade.
It was their fashion
To post them at Passions
They never will stop, I'm afraid
For he is a meter man...through and through
And she is a meter maid.

Oh, Balladeer~
She will LOVE this !
LOL !  What fun 'they' must have had.
Was there ever a lull in the conversation?
I doubt it ... I'd have loved to have been there.

He met the maid whose meter mattered
She made the man sans meter madder....
Posting poems in Passions Place

Meter man met meter maid
And bet her more meter he made
But he couldn't beat her
Her meter was neater
So meter man meter maid paid

But meter maid raved that his rhyme
Was finer than winery wine
His rhyme was a chime
She kindly would dine
And she'd write to the chime of his rhyme

So he wrote his fine rhyme to her beat
And she beat to the tap of his feet
Together they chimed
In rhythm and rhyme
The most rhymic rhyme on the street

Bowing to the king of meter
Liz

The Meter Man and the Meter Maid
Showed off the stuff their rhymes are made
At Sy's home one evening
They really were reeling
And put on a show of parade
How lucky I was to be privileged to hear
The wonderous words of our Liz and the great Balladeer

Wonderful wonder
this spell that I'm under
of meter maid and meter man
reading meters they can
with rhyme
so sublime

I am so glad you all had such
a rhyming good time.

Okay. Please listen to me. That hit VERY VERY close to home and i'm not just saying that. My eyes are wide open! because I used to have a girlfriend named Lizzy Santos, and your work seems to reflect on that very relationship i had with her. A super job.
