There is only one true evil she said
She said there is only one
The one true evil she said
The fish separated from the stream
the bird that doesn’t sing
the scorpion sans sting

one true evil she said
she said the man
disconnected the separated one
the man disconnected from
the universe the man
is the evil one

the fish out of the stream
the disconnection is the evil
she said
the disconnected is the evil
one

I am the evil she spoke of
I am the disconnected
one
I am the salmon that doesn’t swim
The sparrow without a din

I am the man the evil one
i am the evil she spoke of
the wolf that doesn’t cry
I am the evil she spoke of

The one true evil she said

I am the disconnected one
I am the one true evil

The evil she spoke of I am
I am the evil she spoke of I am
I am the evil
The one
True

She spoke to me of evil
I was the one

dis

connected

evil

Before I get responses I need to explain this one --

This is an audio peice I'm working on presently -- it is about my final conversation with my beloved Pantera -- when she tried to tell me that the only true evil comes from being separated from the universe.

The Scorpion is evil to the Frog -- but not inherently evil because it is true to it's nature.

To not accept death -- to fight it -- is evil -- death is natural -- it is our nature to die.

I thought she was talking about herself.  She was trying to tell me.

Man is evil, you'll never convince me otherwise...  This is a great poem, L.R.  And I must say, I love your signature as well...   That's some serious food for thought!

ok, this is really good writing, I am not sure what to say....I have backspaced three different replies...lol...I understand because you have explained, but I do not see someone as evil for not wanting to accept the death of someone they love...maybe I would like to explore pantera's line of thinking more.....not sure...but this is really great writing

I can't explain it beyond saying there is a difference between mourning or grieving, and becoming disconnected from the universe... when you see someone disconnected you will understand... it has taken me 20 months to fully comprehend what she said

Don't ever disconnect dearest...

This was powerful...and I couldn't agree more!!!

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

The poet that doesn't write
one true evil
to give up
without a

A life without hope I think is a disconnected life. Sometimes we go through that in our grieving. Most reconnect in time. This is a great poem, LR.

Your work here certainly shows the disconnection with its form. As for content, superb.

Thanks all.... but devina dear... I've been disconnected for some time now... haven't you heard the phone beeping???  I'm afraid there is a huge gap between becoming disconnected and ever being reconnected... it took connecting with someone as disconnected as I to realize how disconnected I am -- read today's posting... DINKs.

Never listening to your heart, never being true to yourself, fearing what's within and never releasing your true self....to me this would be True Evil.  You have an amazing talent!!
