Amethyst daydreams smear Bathing celestial scenery Crystal orbs of memory Float through empty thoughts Ambrosia sweetened breath Flies through watercolor life The Gods whisper seductively Offering false eternity Their words laced scarlet As the rosy nectar wafts Among the weeping cypress trees A flit of silver mane And a trace of love's perfume Blends earthen soil And the horizon of forever In a whirl of rainbow ecstasy With a shallow promise The gilded chalice is raised To my shivering lips And with melancholy wishes The nectar emblazons As true life is sacrificed At the gallows of immortality. *Krista Knutson* "Every moment marked with apparitions of your soul...." ~*Sarah McLachlan- Do What You Have To Do*~ |
