           Tomorrows path

There is a place down by the sea,
Enthrals my spirit and calls to me.
Where waves wash down in gentle hand
Upon the white and soothing sand

Each crest of wave in tender soar.
Speaks to me in gentle roar.
And the wind blows in sultry brine,
Showering me in wet benign.

The smell of the sea lures me down,
It offers me a Neptune crown.
It sings to me a siren tune.
Ever under a sky blue noon.

It tolls for me eternal rhyme,
In voices and in echoes chime.
It plays a golden harp of peace
And offers me supreme surcease.

The tomorrow of a cul-de-sac,
It's to the sea we are all called back.

I was just ready to close down my computer for the night, when this wonderful poem appeared, and now I will sleep to the rhythms of the tides and the smell of salty air. Enrapturing poetry.
Love ya

Seymour~

On the shoreline stand we now
waves breaking at our feet.
Ever back, we are called
the pleasure to repeat.

I like what you do to the sea !
I like what your poetry does to me !

Wow...the ocean is a muse to me I think.

I grew up on the shores of a wild ocean, and it lulled me to sleep each night...I pine for it now - although I live in my city surrounded by beaches they are certainly not in walking distance anymore!

Thanks for this Sy, this beauty in poetry.

To the heights I reach for thee,
whilst my friend visits the Sea;
to each of us shall a passing wave
his of water, mine of blue haze.

Well done Sy!  Thank you.

Yes the ocean always beacons me to enjoy its beauty, its raging, and its mystery.  I have always tried to live close to the sea. James
