Standing here, glancing over there...at him
The greying temples, those square shoulders...
For almost 35 years he has been there
Taking my burdens and bearing their weight....
Married twenty eight years, years of pure life
Together - raising our children
Together for the first steps, first words, first loves
Together for all of the joys
And sorrows.....
Burying grandparents, parents and brothers...
Yes, standing here looking across the room at my Soldier of Love
Remembering the young boy from all those years ago
Loving the man he is today
Thankful for him...his strength
Joining him in our dreams for the future...
Holding on to all of the precious memories of the past
Knowing without doubt
My Soldier of Love will guard and protect me
Today, tomorrow.....always

Beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes.  I hope to someday have the love you described.

 It matters not how strait the gate;
How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Beautiful BSC

 Did Jesus laugh?
I think He did,
'cause He was once
a little kid;
and all of us
were made with joy
both sugar-spice girl
and snake-snail boy!
