Love escapes that fantasy dream,
I’ve held for many a years-
Drown out by my solitude,
Filled with a mountain of tears.

No longer do I hope of dreams,
Or wish upon those stars-
For yesterday hid my love-
With your ever -bitter remarks.

No longer do I fear alone
Or wish for two of a kind-
This heart knows too much pain-
And reasoning escapes my mind.

To fill the void of love’s despair,
I’ll reap this storm of pain-
Wrap arms safely about myself-
Throughout this rugged terrain.

So hurt me no further,
When I cannot be enough-
Leave me be this time-
So much for dreams of love.

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

The image of wrapping one's arms safely 'round oneself was positively brilliant, devina.  I have been here ...

Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

Very well written Devina.  I have been questioning some of my relationships lately, are they real or only a fantasy?   James

devina I know exactly how you feel.  This is how I felt after leaving my ex-fiancee.  But time heals the wounds we never thought would.

Alright - I guess it's my turn to try and "heal" you.  devina, you are a very soft and sensitive person.  People take advantage of this type for whatever selfish reasons but that's not reason to change.  There is a beauty to your openess of heart...and believe me, there is nothing but grief awaiting when you close that off.  Never stop dreaming, devina...what purpose to life would their be without it?

Come and visit Toronto, I'll show you the CN Tower... Its the largest free standing structure in the world... for some reason women just stand around it just staring...
must be a women thing.

Corozon- thanks hun...I needed that hug on a day like today!!!!

Kess-Sometimes these two arms are the best comfort in the world!!

James- I think the really good ones are fantasy, and they usually end too soon!!

SEA- And I thank you as well!!!

Marina- Yah, I know what you mean, but sometimes "time" is the wound...

Michael-  I think you're much better at cheering me up than I am with you...see...I'm smiling... I'll keep dreaming...but I can't garauntee you that it'll work!! Thanks for the friendship dear!!!

James-You come and get me hun, and it's a deal...I'm terrible with directions!!!
And thank you sweetheart for always encouraging me....XXOO

Devina~
Now, girlfriend ...
with all the 'volunteers'
standing in line with a *hug* ...
spread those arms open wide
and share a *hug*.

Be all you can be ....

Dreams don't die Devina. . . we kill them. . . they will always survive within us. . .

Let your heart sing Devina. . . I know its song. . .share it with me, with us. .. we long to hear it. . .

And, on your way to Toronto, stop off here in Michigan for a visit. . . you'd really like it here. . .

Keep your hope and keep chasing your dreams, Devina.  They will come true if you truly believe.    Exellent poem.

"The old dreams were good dreams
      they didn't ever happen
but I'm glad I had them".
This line was from "Bridges of Madison county".
Keep those dreams my dear, one never knows what awaits the next heartbeat.

Sad again but so well written is this poem you done
I'm very possitive and certain "There got to be someone"
Your heart should not be broken, that much I do know
Well done sweet
