Hmmmph... here I am, almost a saint, Yet Toe gets all the credit. I'm pure as snow, and old Toe ain't, But it's TRUE if old Toe said it! Well, I'm just a second-fiddle man Behind that rascal Toe. I should be leader of the band! But I'm stuck in the last row. Oh, sure, the ladies swoon when they Read my romantic lines of verse. But then they drop in a faint, When they hear that rascal curse! Yes, I'm just a second-fiddle man Behind that scalawag. I feel that I'm back in the band Compared to old Toerag. Lil Belle leads the comely gals In their adoring sighs. She's even gotten Femme Fatale Looking with adoring eyes. Woe is me, I'm a second-fiddle man Behind that dreadful rake. I'm not even included in his band, (I'm a SAINT for heaven's sake!) So you ladies go on with your sighs, While I sit here and cry. You're as mean as Toe, I realize, And that is the reason why..... Its true, I'm a second-fiddle man To my very best of friends. He's earns his lead in the band, Over and over again. |

As easy as this reads,Im not sure weather I should say OUCH or LAUGH?  This reads as a joke on one line and not so funny on the next. I guess It would have more meaning to me if I knew the ones that this was for. Still it`s well worded and well written. Thank you for the read LngJhnAg  |

Hey there, Ruff - Toe and I have been trading barbs with each other for almost two years now. He and I are both pretty busy outside in the real world right now, so we don't get much of a chance to play in here. We used to be the best of friends, and then that scurrilous Balladeer came along and set us at each other's throats (NOT!). Welcome to the Forums. I hope I get a chance to read some fo your work. Look at it this way guys. When I go shopping, I may covet the shoes another woman is wearing...but I know that if I knock her down and steal them, she's gonna' whomp me! So I look around for some shoes that will fit my feet....That Toe is just a pair of Red Spangled Pumps in the Shoe Department of Life!!! Now wait just a cotton pickin' minute??? Almost a saint? YOU???? HA!!!! And I'm not exactly recruiting for his fan club, yanno... just trying to keep my place as first in line! LOL. PDV may worry about getting whomped... but there are others that would just as soon stomp all over me for a moment of Toe's attention... I can't say I blame them for recognizing perfection... but I've got a plan to trip one gal up and provide Beauregard's dinner! Wow.. What a few days of memories for me, Cyka, LVCup, King and a few others somehow surfaced and then reading this took me back... Maybe I'm into nostalgia but I sat here with a smile thinking about you and tarts...oh heck..*g*..the relationships that we all built and the knowledge of each other in the most kindest of ways that enabled us all to laugh so much... Thanks sweetheart...it's good to go back sometimes and remember fun and smiles and the occasional huffy female...hmmmm, that dreadful Queen.. HUSG I dropped a tear in the ocean when it is found, I will stop loving you... |
