Without You
~First Knight~

How do I stop the boiling of blood,
when you remove your body from mine?
How do I stop the spinning,
long after you have stopped the merry-go-round?
Where do I keep the water,
that drips from my eyes that your hands no longer catch?
Where do I keep my promises,
now that your presence eludes me?

Sometimes we never know what we miss until it is gone.
Some things can not be taken back....
Like this bullet to the soul it has no ears,
and it can not be withdrawn nor recalled.

Wonderful poem... I love the line "Sometimes we never know what we miss until it is gone."  That can't possibly be more true than it already is.  I enjoyed this very much.

David...it's nice to see you posting again. This is a very powerful piece you've written and you are right about one thing, we can never go back, but we can indeed go on
