I am not a poet. I merely speak in emotion. Whether it rhymes melodiously, Or is a mass of confusion. When my heart cries out, In pain or in pleasure, I scribe the words carefully, For others to treasure. When I have a long day, And it all seems too much, My poetry I lean on, For it is the perfect crutch. Whether in tale of love lost, Or just a random observation, My words can soothe me, Bringing the greatest consolation. And if through my poems, Your mind has been eased, I am truly honored, And no less than pleased. I am not a poet, I am merely one who speaks in emotion |
