TWO WORLDS

I felt it from California.
You felt it in Tennessee.
Electric air, a tingling there,
Connecting you and me.

Though I was quite impulsive,
While you, a bit reserved.
Both slept sound in a Playground
Of Dream so well preserved.

A world where we found it safe
For feelings to be shared.
Night by night you held me tight,
To show me how you cared.

Counting falling stars from heaven,
Dancing across the clouds with you.
My Angel, bright, in purest white,
You are my wish come true.

Day by day we've made our way
Through encumbered reality.
To hold August though love and trust
A vision of shared destiny.

And what once seemed so far away,
Now seems so very near.
As my soul but cries, to see your eyes
For the first time, a joyous tear.

For two worlds are becoming one,
And there, two hearts will sing.
As spiritual meets physical,
Bonded by vow and ring.

Yes, Gennifer, your wish is mine,
A dream to share for life.
Ever so true, offer "I do",
My hand to you, my wife.

Michael Anderson

I married you in my heart long ago, Gennifer.  I will do so in ceremony soon.  I love you.

What can I possibly say to do this beautiful poem justice....?  You sure have a way of blowing mine out of the water babe....Now I'll have to go back and try again, for mine appears "blah" now...
This touched me in a way you'll never know...well, maybe you will.  After we've spent a few years together...then you'll know.   In about 24 days, I'm going to take you in my arms, and probably not let go the whole week we're together....prepare yourself for that.  LOL  I think I'm going to back you up to the nearest wall, and not let you come up for air for at least the first 3-4 days.....Not a moment wasted.  I sure love you.  If this isn't the real thing, I think I'm tossing in the towel on finding true love.  If I don't find it in you, it doesn't exist in my opinion....so why waste time looking further?  Here's to our future!  (lifting glass to toast!)  hehe  I feel like I'm counting down to another Millennium celebration!  ROFL  24 days to go!!!

How wonderful love is and what a beautiful expression Michael.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

I just have one question for ya Micheal, where in the world are you two gonna find a book BIG enough for your poems to each other? I think I'll start cutting down trees as we speak- in preperation for an early wedding present! Yet another love filled beauty!

Just want to say thank for all the replies.  Gen and I have spoken about exchanging personal vows if and when we do get married, I'm sure they ring close to this.

Good observation, Balladeer...just a little.

Devina, yeah, I got a pretty thick stack already.  Definately gonna be a thick one.  If you's like a sneak preview, I have a section on my home page devoted to nothing but poetry Gen and I have written for each other.

Well, I guess we won't see Michael and Jennifer's postings for at least 3 or 4 days.
They'll be making poetry of their own.
Good luck and best wishes to you both
