The Windmaker

The Windmaker knocks
A cruel hand at my door
And howls when I whisper
No more.

I live without terror
In no man's house.
Windmaker,
Away from my door.

You needn't come for me,
I shan't be your slave,
There are things
I must do once more.

Windmaker, be on your way
My old friend
You'll frighten me
Nevermore.

I too like this!  Great work!

Like a gust of wind, ne'er trapped in a snare,
Like a lotus blossom, ne'er sprinkled by water,
Let me, like a unicorn, in solitude roam.*~ Hymn Of Buddha

Hey Quackk Quackk,
I'm not 100% sure I understood who or what you were talking about.
But as we know that's not always important
with good poetry and this sure is.
I read it 4 times and I'm gonna read it again.   Later,  Paul

Thanks for the input on Windmaker. Paul, I am not 100% sure who the Windmaker is, either. All I know is that sometimes he/she haunts me and I've figured how to scare him off. Chris
