Wolfman Jack did the Midnight Special
Alice Cooper rocked the walls
Jimi Hendrix was on stage
Janis Joplin outsang 'em all

Dancing and drinking and yeaaahh
All night long the parties went on
The whole neighborhood was there
'Til we all crept home at dawn

My parents loved to party
and they took me along
Not anything too drastic!
Hmm..never saw a bong!

My father flaunted sideburns
though he didn't have much hair!
My mama wore her hot pants
on legs that made men stare

I danced up top of tables
much to the neighbors delight
In my tye-dye, beads and sandals
A little hippie in my own right

It was the Age of Aquarius
We let the Sun Shine In
And though I was only nine
I remember way back when

Yes, wonderful poem, Caroline! I remember those days too! I was a little bit older than 9 though!

Great poem, Caroline. Was that where your career in table-top dancing got started?

~*LOL*~  Thanks all!  Guess I'm telling my age here but oh well!

Balladeer--ROTFLMAO!!  I thought about being a table-dancer to make a living, but it's hard to pay the rent when they throw old tomatoes as tips!
