One

One touch of your hands
One kiss from your lips
And I am falling

One sound of your voice
One glimpse of your face
And my hearts calling

One moment with you
One night in your arms
And I am flying

One final goodbye
Once more alone
And I am dying

"I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I am a common man with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me , this has always been enough." ~Nicholas Sparks from The Notebook

You have proven how much you can say in few words, and beautifully done as well.

ahh, so lovely.

Nice work. Unfortunately I can relate to the last stanza.
"One final goodbye
Once more alone
And I am dying"
Sad but beautiful.

Just one time, and let it be mine.

Just one thing, and love I shall bring.
Just one hint, and all will be spent.

Just one word is all you need say.
Let it be me and I shall stay.

Within your life....within your dreams,
My dear, my sweet, my word is seems....

Denise, Martie, jaxjoy and whiskey....thank you all

David...
Just one heart I have to give
Just one life I have to live
But, I want the same thing too
Someone who's love will be true
I don't want to be your sun
I want to be your only one
Until you can give your all to me
Only friends is what we'll be

Wonderful 1st verse Ruth....and I can understand that 2nd one.  It's rough when our heart has been broken and we always will protect it.   ~HUGS~

Ruth, another absolutely wondeful poem!  One thing can do so much can't it?!?
