A Thousand Years

A thousand years to Him are but a day
Not bound, as we, by mere constraints of time
The present, past and future they all play
As one their perfect harmonies sublime.

The Lord of all doth see with perfect eyes
Alas, we mortals but with jaundiced view
Within His arms the soul can rhapsodize
In Ancient’s song that ever will be new.

“Fear not”, He says, “I come to you in peace;
I’ve paid your debt, receive this priceless gift;
Believe in Me, your soul will find release;
My song of love can heal the deepest rift.”

O, Prince of Peace, a symphony you bring
Discordant once, Your praises now I sing.

The doves of peace have just been released in Bethlehem to celebrate the New Year there!

Happy New Year to all my friends at Passions! I love you all!

'Tis a true wonder you have crafted for this New Year.

i like the line about coming in peace..some see Jesus' coming as first contact with an alien or something because He is so foriegn in there hearts.I wish i had days to count off to His coming but still i am ever watchful and excited

Loved this one, Denise!  The thing about a poem like this one is that it is so inspirational. One never knows how badly another might be in need of inspiration; the comforting reminder that He is there!

Also, great to see a picture of you!

And...Happy New Year to you, also!
