Gazing up at heaven's majesty,
Little sparks of life in the sky,
It's not too difficult for me to see
How lowly, Lord am I.
And yet you gave your life for me.
You sacrificed your spark
And gave to me eternity
How gracious, Lord thou art.
So my soul sings its praises skyward
In hopes they meet your ears
In your heavenly palace bowers
From my own loving tears.
Grant me Lord your patience
Your wisdom and your grace
Until one day I can gaze
Upon your own sweet face.

Knowlege tempered by wisdom...Wisdom tamed by youth.

Oh Robert...I am so glad I read this...It falls along the same idea I was sharing with you just last night to your poem....uh...something "Zero"....
I see you and I have both been doing some serious moon/star gazing of late!  hehe  Isn't it weird, how you can look up into the sky, and find nearly all the answers you're looking for?  Maybe it's because that's "heaven"....Where else would all the answers be?  God's up there too, BTW....   I find great strength in looking into the stars and the heavens....it's calming and somewhat serene...when the "world" seems so chaotic.  At times I wish I were a star up there.....How lucky they are....Thank you for sharing this with us....beautiful indeed.

Absolutely beautiful!!

Beautiful, beautiful prayer and poem, Robert.  I sure could use a dose of Patience, Wisdom, and Grace, myself.  Hope to be right there next to you when you, (we) finally gaze upon Him.

It's beautiful, RS, what more can I say?  Oh, and happy new year too!
