"Can't you stop speaking Chinese during English periods?" her good-natured reprimand
"When i talk, you listen, okay"her irritated snap
"Ha,ha,ha,...."her loud contagious laughter
"Believe in yourself--dreams do come true" her well-meaning advice
Small in size but big at heart
The personification of faith and dignity
Mrs Ismail

I can't speak Chinese at all ... if I could
I would probably say the same as your
teacher because it would be taken as an insult that you choose to speak other than
what is being taught ( unless you friend )
needs help understanding what is being taught in class and you find it easier to convey the message in Chinese

of course I'm not a teacher or a student
so why would you listen to me?
I'm just one of those grown ups that know nothing

good luck at school ... it's easier to be there learning than to be here burning

What a nice tribute to your teacher...sometimes they make a bigger impact on our lives than what they ever realize

Teachers are the next biggest influence in our lives next to family! What a nice thing to do to write a tribute for her!

Wow!!! Didn't know that Mrs Ismail has made such an impact on you!! Didn't know she is prone to giving encouragements such as not giving up on dreams. =P But I do agree on the part where she is small in size, but i'd rather say she's tiny...

I very much prefer Ms Cheong, but then you didn't know her, and Siaky seems to condemn her... =P or was it Mdm Tong. Anywayz, this poem juz might inspire me to write something about those secondary sch years. I remember Mr Miles wrote an Ode for 4/5 for our class bulletin...   His English was superb!
