This poem is definitely true about me.
Bear in mind, that I have nothing against smokers.

Believe me,
when I casually,
tell you that I don't smoke
because, it ain't a joke.
I've never gave in,
to the pleasures of getting high.
I've never cared or wondered why,
people got high.
Compared to a smoker, I save more money,
which is more food for my tummy
plus, I'm more healthy.
I don't care,
if society views me as a square.
My motto is: If you smoke because you think it's cool,
only makes you a fool.
I've always been an outcast,
that seperated myself from the mass.
It's my commodity,
to be an oddity
and it's my destiny,
to just be me.

Thank you Severn and Paul. You're right it would be something if younger kids shared those thoughts. In fact, I wish there was more people who shared those thoughts.

Well I am a smoker and i share the same thoughts as the 3 of you.  I wish that I never started and I wish that I could quit.  The only prob is it's easier said then done.  But I still like the poem all the same!  It makes me laugh and thats no easy task.

Well Nate, I am a smoker, and have been smoking since I was 8, and as highwayman said I wish I could quit, but it is easier said than done!

... So - How many smokers   do we really know who wouldn't prefer that they weren't one????

Just a rhetorical question....

I've never smoked. Never had a lit cigarette in my mouth! Isn't it the same as sucking up the smoke from a pile of burning garbage?

To Nan, the answer to your question is, plenty of them! And Devine, I think smoking is like that. Thank you two for the wonderful replies too.

*hanging her head in shame*  I admit I'm a smoker too, I always want to give it up, but as said previously it IS easy said than done.
At least I'm not a junkie or alcho
I must say I'm a considerate smoker though

I don't smoke, never have, never will.  My mom does and it drives me crazy.  I too share your thoughts, Nate.  Great work.

I have never smoked but have inhaled others smoke all my life. My husband stopped smoking a week ago, but now he's so impossible to live with, I'm thinking of buying him a pack of cigarettes.
In a quandry,
