To Marge, and Nan, and Balladeer,
To Toe and Liz and Tamera-
I see more clearly through your words
Than photo from a camera.
No time nor room for every name
Who has a blessing been-
Like Ruth, DeVine, and Meadowmuse
To name a few of them.
And whiskey, desperado, after I am gone
Adhere to my friend Jim’s advice-
I charge you both, “Write On”!
And if it seems your ink runs dry
No inspiration be....
Then gaze into the western sky,
And write a verse for me.
I do not know what lies ahead-
Nor just how long I’ll stay...
I do not comment often, so...
Before I go away...
I thought again I’d tell you all-
The pleasure it has been
-Since I took my place among
This treasured group of friends.
So just in case I post no more,
I’m very glad we met-
Your kindness and your fellowship
I will not soon forget.

Well, gunslinger, if you don't post again, the loss is ours. You have become an integral part of our group, family I should say, and you will be sorely missed. You know where your friends are...and there are many so, whenever you happen to pass by this way, the welcome wagon awaits. Best of luck to you.

You brighten each ImPassioned heart
With all your wisdom lent.
So you must know before you start
We'd chase you if you went....

We'll get the Moose to lock you up
And keep you in the 'Stute
So Justin Kace you should stock up
More poetry to shoot.....

Are you loading up the saddlebags? Going to mosey on for a bit? Gee, I hope you get inspired so you HAVE to come back and post more poetry! Stop in when you can! Your poetry is always a wonderful read.

Gunslinger...we'll certainly miss you here at passions. Please stop in from time to time to let us know how you are. May all your rides be nice easy trail rides from this point on and may you enjoy each sunset you ride off into.
Oh, before I forget...check into some publishers

I agree with what's been said already--I will miss your stories and your excellent verse greatly--you see with eyes that not to many of us have.  Don't stay away too long.

If I never read another new poem of yours, GS, I will always read the old ones.  You have been a light in my life.  I hope I get to go where you are going.

Are wild Western winds now calling to him,
the man with the flame~forged heart?
Tugging gently to travel the pure pallette plains,
Entreating our Gunslinger, depart?

Have age~old watchfires beckoned to him
to ride on with the tumbleweed's pitch?
I'm selfishly hoping our lawman still writes
as he scratches his travelin' itch.

{managing a brave smile} Pleeeeze???

Fare thee well fine Sir. We will be looking for an update on your welfare from time to time (if you find access to a computer). Safe travels to you and always remember the family of friends you have here. We will miss you until you return.

Gunslinger-Though I didn't get a chance to know you, your poetry was beautiful and you will be missed. I appreciated that you took the time to respond to one of my poems.  Thank you and take care in your travels.
