In the street are children crying
lost in a world of deception
fairy tales lost in the reality
for nothing is what it seems.

In the street are children crying
left with out our help
their laughter turned to tears
have we forgotten humanity.

In the street are children crying
for they have no dreams left
believing in the message
that there is no more hope.

In the street are children crying
searching to find the truth
We have stolen from them
The ability to smile.

In the street are children crying
It is time to take a stand
we must reach out and hold them
show them the way again.

 --------------
You got to get up every morning with a smile on your face
and show the world all the love in your heart
Then people are gonna treat you better
You're gonna find, yes you will
That your beautiful as you feel.~~~ Carol King
