I shoveled my walk, as I'm supposed to do.
My property ran "oh a block or two".

I huffed and puffed and shoveled it clean.
If you've ever shoveled you know what I mean.

I put up my tool and went in to get warm.
And gazed out my window to watch the snow storm.

With perseverance even the snail reached the Ark.

Hard work, isn't it?! And then back out to do it all over again....

Cute poem!

Rofl...I can only think of one thing you forgot

I shovel my drive way
Till my way out is clean
Then along comes the snowplow
That gosh darn machine
He's plowed me back in
After all my hard work
Boy do I hate him
That lousey jerk

(oops...sorry, this comes from 16 years of living off a major road during 3 foot snow storms and I'd just get done shoveling my way out and that snowplow would come along and plow me right back in...as you can guess, I had to edit my language a bit for the forum...lol)

When you've lived in the snow there are rules, never lick a metal pole and don't eat the yellow snow.

Poor lil Lucie's gone over the edge,
She's shoveling snow where its not.
She lives way down in Houston town,
Where its nothing else but hot.

She's in her driveway with shovel in hand,
Waving to the cars as they pass.
They honk and shout, "Its not cold out!"
But our Lucie isn't buying that.

For didn't one of her girlfriends,
Complain of the hard driving snow?
So Lucie supported the gal who was thwarted,
By the snowdrifts outside her window.

Poor lil Lucie's gone over the edge,
She's shoveling snow where its not.
Wishing and hoping that she was coping,
With weather that wasn't so hot.

This poem was for you, lil Lucie.  I don't doubt for a moment that you are shoveling snow - lol

Lucie - How dare you!!!!  How dare you make fun of us shivering fools!!!  How dare you!!!  Your 68-degrees comment just made it another 10 degrees colder up here!  Grrrrrr (or more like brrrrrrr).  You'll get yours!  Just you wait and see.  lol

As for catching you.... hmmmmmm .... yanno, lil Lorelei would scratch put my eyes if I caught you.

Caught Lucie huh?  hmmmmm..she might be fun to have around from some of the things I've seen her write, but you are right husband, I'd not like you catching any woman!

Lucie...we have snow everywhere and are expecting more this weekend. Come shovel for us.
