            does anyone undestand out there

       by stepehn j

am i the only one?
did anyone ever fall in love with a friend?
and then they fall away,
away from you?
and then you realize that the friend ship is gone ,
forever?
and how much you want it back when its gone?

Stephen J-

Having been fortunate enough
to have had ... and kept both
I reply ....

Friends And Lovers ... Lovers And Friends

Friends who have become lovers.
Lovers who've remained friends.

Never more pleasured.
Never more treasured.

The keepers of my heart.
How lucky I am to have had both.

This is the scariest part about having feelings for a close friend.  My ex fiance started out as a good friend, and fortunantly now we can get along, but for awhile we could even be in the same room together.  At least you can learn from this experience and be able to judge differently next time...hang in there hun!!!

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

I understand that feeling, for sure!  I fell in love with my best friend, and yet now we're apart because of one simple mistake that destroyed all my trust in him.  It hurts, but, that's life.  For, the most beautiful thing about it is that we hurt and then we heal.  Lovely poem.
