Dear loving members of Passions/long time friend's of Serenity, the memorial has been set up for my mother. If you have any questions/concerns, feel free to contact me. If any of you are able to make it, that would be grand, if not, I totally, totally, with all the seriousness in the universe, understand! I will provide pictures for all of Pip to see after her services so nobody can feel left out despite being thousands of miles away. Here's the link and scroll down for the general info, otherwise, here is the status I posted on Facebook:

Memorial for my mother on November 1st, All Saints Day at the Voodoo Spiritual Temple, 6:30 pm, 828 N. Rampart Street. Contribute to the beer fest if not, that's okay. If you have any photos of her, that would be awesome as well. Message for more information.

This old internet is a strange thing Krista, so many of us were so close to your mom, but none met her.  How very fitting the place and the day for her memorial.  I am hoping that she is making a bit of ruckus in heaven and waiting for this party to get started. ♥  My only regret was having not gone down there before it was too late.

I will sure be raising my glass high in her memory at 6:30 p.m. your time on All Saints Day.

Thank you for letting everyone know, and also for offering  pictures after her memorial.

Thank you, Krista, for helping us to remember your mom in the spirit she so richly deserves.  If you need any help posting here on our site, please let us know.  We'll be including her on our memoriam site as well.

Karen was one of a kind, in talent, in spirit and in heart! I will miss her terribly!

Oh how I wish I could be there for her memorial. She was such a light, such a talent, such an honest to goodness down home REAL woman. How I loved to read her.. even when I had no clue what she meant... the words just danced on the page. She will be so sorely miss. I truly feel terrible for your family to have lost both your mother and father in such a short span of time. My thoughts are with you

She was something else that is for sure!

Please remember to raise your glass to our friend, Karen Blaise, "Serenity" tonight on All Saint's Day to memorialize her with our love won't you? For those of you that can be there here is the information again:
Memorial for Karen ~ November 1, 2013 ~ 6:30 p.m.

Voodoo Spiritual Temple
828 N. Rampart Street
New Orleans, LA 70116

She left all of us with a piece of her in our hearts that is for darn sure.

Carpe' Diem
