I am so pleased and proud to introduce to my PiP Friends the newest Kansas Magazine to grace the state. Recently uploaded to their website, please check out

Sunflower Living Spring 2010

and

Sunflower Living Summer 2010

I was very pleased to be able to submit two articles to this fine table-top magazine. As it begins its journey into Kansas history, I have just submitted my third story for the Fall issue. I hope that as the magazine progresses, I will find my own niche in its showcasing of Kansans in and around Salina, and help promote their homes, ideals, dreams, hopes and hobbies.

And who knows where it might lead?

'Deer, thank you for your thoughts...every step is indeed a big one...I'm in areas so unfamiliar, but warm...

Titia, thank you. It really isn't about being "famous", but it is a joy to receive the projects, do the work, knowing that I have a marvelous photographer to work with...it's all good!

Thank you, Denise! Do you know, I don't go in with a script? I just ask, "what do you want to share with other Kansans?"

Rae, beautiful thoughts, thank you. Sharing is what it is all about. Y'all come by for a visit, y'hear?

Pete, Pete, Pete...if I'm ever famous, you'll know it first... LOL...

Jo, my summer story begins on page 11 on the Koehn ranch. I dearly appreciated doing a story on a gentle man who believed in a dream...and is making it come true for his family!

Thank you all!

Here is the fall issue, kids. My article begins at page 17 on Blue Heavens Studio.

Sunflower Living Fall 2010

I'm really pleased that they have offered me a fourth commission...I can't talk about it just yet, but I am excited yet again to get such an offer. I hope you will all take a peek...and enjoy!

Thank you, my friends. There are some stories that write themselves; others, especially when dealing with more than one person [magazines tend to go in odd numbers, you interview one, three, or five people for a feature...never even numbers. Why IS that? I don't really know...I will have to look it up...oops, got side-tracked here...]

But when you have more that one subject to interview, it's an "oh CRA..." moment. I could give issue at a MINIMUM of 750 words per person and stay relevant, and not even sprinkle it with superlatives...and I need to compress three folk into 950 words.

Shucks and Darn.

So now I have to go winnow the wheat from the chaff, folk, because I just finished up with the interviews of three fine folk for the winter issue...and I can tell you right now - they each deserve a spot of their own!

EBM...thanks, my friend...

Jo, I don't know if my book is on her shelf or not - I guess I should go find out! I know it's in our Public Library...     Thank you, dear!

Thanks, Sue. I'm having fun!

Pete...thank you, my friend. I'm glad you're keeping track on this...one never knows where it will lead...[maybe to OK to do a story that starts in KS? Stranger things have happened, yes?]

Thank you, Bob!

Margherita, I'm sorta liking it, too!

Kathleen, thank you, my dear. Thank goodness I don't have to "rely" on the salary. I'm currently [finally?] reading Dorothy Parker's biography What Fresh Hell is This and I swear, I'm glad I have the time to finally indulge!

to all!

Well, we did it again, only this time, I have two articles in the magazine, at pages 20-21 and 28-29. Enjoy!
